Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader will travel to Montevideo, Uruguay, this Friday to attend the inauguration of President-elect Yamandú Orsi. He is expected to arrive around 5:00 p.m. and will use the visit to hold bilateral meetings with other leaders.
On Saturday, Abinader will meet with outgoing Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou before attending the solemn session of the General Assembly at the Legislative Palace. The official swearing-in ceremony for Orsi and Vice President-elect Carolina Cosse will take place at 2:00 p.m.
Abinader is scheduled to return to the Dominican Republic early Sunday morning.
