The Bermuda national cricket team achieved their first win at the North American Cup after defeating the Cayman Islands by 30 runs at the Jimmy Powell Cricket Oval yesterday [April 20].
Bermuda, who lost to Canada in their opening game, batted first after winning the toss, posting a total of 137 runs for the loss of five wickets from their 20 overs.
Captain Terryn Fray top scored with 38 off 40 balls, including two boundaries.
Chasing 138 for victory, Jermaine Baker provided the main resistance for the Cayman Islands, top-scoring with a resilient 54.
Dominic Sabir, who was named man of the match, was the standout performer with the ball, claiming three wickets for14 runs in his three overs.
Kevon Fubler took three wickets for 17 runs from four overs.
