
GRANMA, Cuba, Feb 26 (ACN) Two brigades of specialized linemen are making the interconnection lines of the photovoltaic power station La Sabana, soon to be ready in this province.
Investment manager Yoandra Isabel Ramos López said that the process is running at a good pace and pointed out that La Sabana will contribute 21.8 MW of clean energy when it comes into operation in April.
In line with Cuba’s policy to change of the national energy matrix until 2030, according to Liván Guevara Valderde, investment manager at the provincial Electricity Enterprise, another three solar farms are under construction in the region, and all four will provide 87.2 MW, which will add to the 18.8 MW already produced by the six existing sites of this kind in Granma.
