Havana, Feb 26 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Wednesday the increasing arms trafficking from US territory to Latin America and the Caribbean, which encourages organized crime and regional insecurity.
In an X message, the Cuban government official said that the illegal trade increased by 120 percent from 2016 to 2023.

According to a world study on fire arms trafficking, published in 2020 by the UN Office against Drugs and Crime (UNODC), out of all drug seizures around the world, North America appears as the major origin of the illegal trade.
