The first national president said during a “Maduro Live” broadcast that this Sunday’s election is “direct democracy, of the new socialist modernity, of the present and the future; the new Latin American and Caribbean democracy.”
“Yesterday we had a spectacular day, it has no other way to be described, spectacular. I want to thank with a deep love and congratulate all the leaders, all the leaders, to all the people who yesterday went to the electoral centers to vote, to exercise their sovereignty and to decide the priority projects of this first quarter for their Community, ”he said.

- Electricity and Roads: Urban and Rural Infrastructure.
- Other areas: health, sport, public transport, communal gas, telecommunications, citizen security and tourism.

For his part, the Minister of Communes, Ángel Prado, mentioned that communal power gained more confidence with the realization of the democratic exercise. “People who did not participate in the first consultation and who were already a bit more convinced, because, well, they executed their works, their resources arrived,” he said.
Prado said that the communes want to demonstrate that they are efficient and that they have the ability to manage their resources and execute the works for the community.
