This launch is significant, since it represents its first production in Spanish from “90 miles”, which reached first place in the Billboard Top Latin Albums list in 2007.
The letter of “roots” evokes a deep connection with life and love, using metaphors about planting to transmit a hopeful message. “Always enjoy the moments, you don’t know what surprises life will give you,” says one of the stanzas, highlighting the importance of cultivating significant relationships.
Connection with nature and love
“From the first moment I heard ‘roots’, I reached the soul,” Gloria Estefan shared with Spanish Billboard. “Being a virgo, I have a strong connection with nature and I see life as a garden, where love is the seed. I think what you grow with goodness, patience and faith will bloom in joy.”
Recorded in the Crescent Moon Studios de Miami, “Raíces” pays tribute to the rhythms that Estefan’s musical career has defined, including sauce and classical Latin music.
Emilio Estefan satisfied with the project
“Recording again in Spanish was a contribution to our music,” Emilio Estefan told Billboard Spanish. In addition, he stressed that they collaborated with “great musicians, engineers and industry professionals” and that he wrote almost all the album seeking to capture the essence of both glory and his sound.
This new album will be number 30 in the artistic trajectory of Gloria Estefan, consolidating five decades dedicated to music. This work is expected not only to celebrate its cultural roots, but also inspire new generations.
