Hamas released on Saturday three other hostages that remained captive in Gaza since October 7, 2023. Sagui Dekel-Chen, Alexánder Troufanov and Iair Horn have already been delivered to the representatives of the Red Cross in the enclave, where they will be taken To Israel for the defense forces of the Hebrew country and the Israeli intelligence service Shin Bet.
Before their release, the hostages were taken from a white van in Jan Yunis and escorted by armed men to a stage, where they pronounced before the crowd a few words under the direction of Hamas.
As in previous liberations of Israeli hostages, the three men carried with commemorative and certified gifts that had given them the fighters of the Palestinian movement. Each one was given a ‘liberation certificate’, as well as an embroidery that shows a map with the Palestine borders that Hamas claims.
One of the banners in Arabic, Hebrew and English that had hanged on the stage collected an apparent reference to Donald Trump’s plans to displace the Gazaties of their lands to other countries in the region: “No migration except Jerusalem.”
“According to the leaders of the Palestinian movement, this was made in respect to the position of our country in favor of a fair solution of the conflict in the Middle East,” said Dogadkin, referring to the position of Russia, which proposes a bostatal solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
This Monday, the president of the United States said that the high fire agreement between Israel and Hamas should be canceled if the Palestinian movement does not release all the hostages that it keeps retained in the Gaza Strip before noon on Saturday.
A day later, Israeli prime minister, Benjamín Netanyahu, threatened to resume fighting not to realize until Saturday the release of more hostages.
