The Israeli prime minister, Benjamín Netanyahu, promised on Sunday that Israel will achieve its objectives to overthrow the Palestinian movement Hamas, recover all captives and eliminate the possible risks that Gaza’s strip could mean from now on. This was announced during a joint press conference with the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who took place in Jerusalem.
“We will eliminate the military capacity of Hamas and its political dominance in Gaza. We will bring all our hostages home and make sure that Gaza never represents a threat to Israel,” said the leader of the Jewish country. “The unequivocal support of the United States in Gaza will help us achieve these goals more quickly and place us on the way to a different future,” he added.
In the same context, Netanyahu thanked Trump for his help to free three other hostages on Saturday. He also thanked Rubio for the “unequivocal support from the United States to Israel’s policy in Gaza to move forward.”
“Trump and I are working in full cooperation and coordination,” Netanyahu continued. “We have a common strategy and we cannot always share details of this strategy with the public or when the doors of hell will open, as will surely be done if they do not release all our hostages, until the last one,” announced the Israeli leader.
