The United States Border Patrol registered last February the least monthly number of attempts to enter the country illegally through the border with Mexico, American President Donald Trump announced in his account of the Social Truth Network.
The president said that “only” 8,326 arrests were carried out and that “all” the undocumented were quickly expelled from the country, provided that it was not necessary to process them for some crime.
As a comparison, Trump recalled that during the presidential mandate of Joe Biden the figure of 300,000 illegal immigrants per month was reached. “This means that very few people arrived,” summarized the head of state, who added: “The invasion of our country is over.”
According to sources from the newspaper The Wall Street Journal in Mexico, the US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, had warned the Mexican part through a phone call that the US army was willing to take cross -border measures if the fight against drug cartels was not effective, declared terrorist organizations by Trump. In the USA, they consider that Mexico has not done enough to chase drug traffickers.
