This Friday, May 9, on the occasion of the liturgical celebration of the Blessed Mother Carmen Rendiles, the Municipal Council of Caracas granted the order Waraira Repano Post Mortem and recognized as an illustrious Caracas that will become the first Santa Venezuelan for its civic, spiritual and educational contribution to Venezuela. Both decorations were received by Mother Rosa María Ríos, Superior of the Servants of Jesus in Venezuela.
Jorgert López, president of the Municipal Council of Caracas, stressed that it is the first time in the history of the capital city of Venezuela that is given to a citizen this recognition of illustrious Caracas and, Mother Carmen Rendiles, the councilor argued, has been deserving of this tribute for her exemplary life as a Christian, her human virtues and for her delivery to the service of the education of the neighbor.
On March 31, 2025, Pope Francis authorized Dicastery for the causes of the saints to promulgate the decree related to the miracle of the Beata Mother Carmen Rendiles, becoming a historical event because the founder of the servants of Jesus of Venezuela will be the first Santa Venezuelan.
