
A marine accused of the attempted murder of a bar patron has pleaded not guilty.
Marine Seaman Andreas McPhee entered his not guilty pleas during an arraignment before Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson yesterday.
Prosecutors allege that McPhee shot Lashando McIntosh at a bar on West Bay Street on July 1, 2023.
McPhee is accused of opening fire on a group of men with whom he had an altercation. According to police, McIntosh was not part of the confrontation.
McPhee’s trial has been assigned to Justice Franklyn Williams KC.
Mark Penn represented McPhee, who has been interdicted from his duties, pending the conclusion of his case.
McPhee is free on $15,000 bail.
