From the data collected during the second cut scheduled for the 13h00 (local time), the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Ecuador, reported that there were already more than 30 percent of the citizens enabled in the electoral roll to carry out their Voting right in presidential elections this Sunday.
Meanwhile, the 16 candidates to preside over the country’s executive from 2025 to 2029 have already exercised their right to vote. The former were the aspiring re -election Daniel Noboa and the Correísta Luisa González.
During the first national chain, the president of the CNE, Diana Atamaint, confirmed that all 40,791 vote receiving joints are operational, with 86 percent composed of main vowels and 12 percent with substitutes. He also said that “each vote will be counted and respected.”
