Osei Clarke stage name OKC the Artiste is no stranger to the spotlight or Guyana’s music scene. The reigning Calypso Monarch – he took the crown last year with “Promised Land” – he retains his undeniable passion for soca, the genre where his winning streak began at the junior level.

OKC grew up in a small but vibrant community in Sophia, Georgetown. His childhood was a mix of outdoor adventures, climbing coconut trees, catching wild animals with his dad, and, of course, music.
