
The Association of Private Educational Institutes, Andiep, Nueva Esparta, recognized this year 37 teachers of Margarita Island with the Order “Rafael Vegas”, a maximum honor that this organization makes to highlight the career in the field of teaching.
This award is awarded to those teaching professionals who have between 10 and 30 years working uninterrupted in education, so they are proposed from the different Andiep member institutions.
This year the Evaluation Commission was made up of Professor Alejandra Chalbaud, inter -institutional director of Andiep Nueva Esparta as Chancellor of the Order and Dr. Yanet Márquez, president of Andiep.
The delivery was made in the presence of the National President of the Association, Nelly Sánchez, within the framework of the I Congress of Pedagogical Innovation held on the island, receiving 13 teachers category bronze, 11 silver category and 13 in its first gold class.
In this regard, Chalbaud said that it is a recognition of the effort and dedication of the teaching profession, valuing performance for years of service and dedication to the development of future generations.
The eponym of this order, Rafael Vegas, remembers the doctor and psychiatrist, cataloged as one of the greatest educators in the history of Venezuela, founder of the Institute of Preorientation of Minors in the Government of Eleazar López Contreras and Minister of Education in the Mandate From Isaiah Medina Angarita. In 1950 he founded the Santiago de León school in Caracas, one of the most complete educational institutes that Venezuela has known.
