This Monday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the Amazon, when referring to the participation of Foreign Minister Yván Gil at the 15th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty (OPCA) In Paramaribo, capital of Surinam, where the sixth transformation (6T) was exposed.
“Our chancellor was at the meeting of ministers exposing the sixth transformation, which has to do with ecological balance, climate change,” he said.
In that sense, he indicated that the Ministers of Amazonian participating countries were amazed with the exposure of the content of the 6T.
“The Amazon is ours, is South American and we have to continue defending it,” said the president, who said that his country will continue to fulfill his commitments and work with the Amazon.
In this regard, the Head of State warned that “if the Amazon was destroyed, the human being would almost end on this planet.”
“The ecological balance and human existence itself, is guaranteed defending the Amazon, which is from South America, without imperialist intervention in our Amazon,” he said.
The 6T presented on this day by the Venezuelan Chancellor in Paramaribo, aims to reorganize capitalist production and consumption patterns, to effectively face the climatic crisis.
