The national security advisor of the American country, Michael Walz, emphasized that President Donald Trump has the determination for the solution to occur rapidly. “This must be a permanent end of the war, not a temporary end as we have seen before,” he added. In relation to the issues that will be addressed in a mandatory manner, he mentioned that “there will be some discussion about territory, and there will be discussion about security guarantees”, issues that he described as “fundamental basics.”
“We agree that our teams will maintain contact to move forward with this process,” said the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. He also pointed out that Trump is the only leader capable of starting this process and ending the conflict, stressing that it must be “just, lasting, sustainable and acceptable for all the parties involved.”
He also stressed that “for a conflict to end, all those involved in that conflict have to agree with that, it has to be acceptable to them” and that “all parties must make concessions.” In this regard, he said that “the European Union will have to be at the table at some point, because they also have sanctions that have been imposed.”
High -level delegations from Russia and the United States met Tuesday in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, in order to normalize the relations between both powers and move towards an agreement on the conflict in Ukraine, as well as prepare a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
