The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said goodbye to his current position at the John F. Kennedy center for the performing arts to which he was a White House Secretary between 2022 and 2025, Karine Jean-Pierre, said Wednesday The New York Times.
“It is a great honor to be president of the Kennedy Center, especially with this incredible Board of Directors,” the Republican leader wrote that same day in his official Truth Social Network. “We will make the Kennedy center a very special and exciting place,” he added.
Until the recent past, the Kennedy center has been historically led by bipartisan boards. On Monday, the Trump administration officially dismissed 18 members of the Board who had been appointed by former president Joe Biden, as well as the president of that instance, the financial David Rubenstein.
