Two men were killed in separate incidents between last night and early this morning, police said.
An 18-year-old is the latest victim.
Police said he was stabbed multiple times to the upper torso at a bar in the vicinity of East Street and Soldier Road around 2 a.m.
As the victim was being transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, the driver of the car reportedly lost control and crashed into a wall near East Street and Sands Lane, police said.
The 18-year-old died on the scene.
The second victim was among three people who were shot while they were standing outside a Coconut Grove home last night.
Police said three men, all of whom were armed with firearms, opened fire on the victims.
The victims were transported to the hospital.
“The first victim, a 37-year-old male, sustained gunshot injuries to the upper torso and succumbed to his injuries in hospital; the second and third victims, a 50-year-old female and a 31-year-old male, both sustained gunshot injuries to their lower extremities,” police said in the daily crime report.
Police are asking for anyone with information on these latest incidents to contact authorities.
This brings the murder count to 19 for the year.
