Unas 80 personas atrapadas en un gran incendio en Moscú son rescatadas con vida (+Videos)

A fire of great proportions broke out this Saturday in an administrative building located east of Moscow, as reported by the Emergency Ministry of Russia. The agency reported that lifeguards saved about 80 people from the flames.

The building where the incident was recorded, has five floors. As specified, the fire would have invaded the third and fourth floor of the building. The area affected by the flames reached 800 square meters and the fire was qualified with the fourth level of complexity of a five scale.

According to the information provided, the fire could have been caused by a defective electrical wiring or a network overload.

The Ministry reported that trapped people were rescued with the use of special equipment and cranes. At least 120 people were evacuated and 80 had to be rescued. Ten people needed medical assistance and five were hospitalized for smoke poisoning, Ria Novosti reported, with reference to emergency services.

“The Russian Emergency Ministry increases its troops and means in the fire in Moscow,” said the agency, detailing that more than 60 firefighters and 16 team units work there. The fire was controlled to an area of 300 square meters, the ministry detailed.
