Paramaribo – Almost four weeks after he had shot a 24-year-old man in his leg at Albrecht Dürerstraat, the 22-year-old FV was arrested by the Paramaribo Assistance Team. He was spotted on Saturday during the surveillance of this unit in a black vehicle on the Anton Dragtenweg reports the Suriname Police Corps (KPS) on his website.
On seeing the police, FV, who was in the car with a woman, drove away at high speed. Chasing the legislators’ chasing of the law, he ignored the stop signs of the police. At a certain moment, the suspect himself drove in at high speed on the agents, who could bring themselves to safety in time.
The vehicle was briefly lost sight of, but could then be stuck at the intersection of the Grote Combéweg and Mahonylaan. However, FV turned out to be no longer in the car. The 22-year-old driver CH was caught in the collar, since she had dropped the suspect somewhere.
The legislators continued the investigation and eventually managed to hit FV on a site on Crommelinstraat in the buoys. The suspect fiercely resisted. FV had shot another man in his leg on January 19 after an altercation. Since then he was hiding from the police.
FV and CH were transferred to the Paramaribo investigation, which is responsible for the investigation. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, Ch was sent after being seriously addressed. FV has been insured on suspicion of attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, serious abuse, theft through violence and destruction.
