This morning [Tuesday, 25 March], Johanson Baptiste, an inmate serving a 5-year sentence for minor offences with one year remaining, escaped from the prison farm during work duties.
Officers were immediately deployed to recapture him, but efforts remain ongoing.
Baptiste is familiar with the prison farm operations, having worked there on multiple occasions, and is not new to the correctional system. Members of the public are urged to exercise caution and report any sightings immediately.
