ADCOCK, emphasized the importance of growing solid and lasting relationships with large -scale customers, instead of diluting efforts in a multitude of smaller projects. It should be remembered that, only one year ago, Figure AI sold its first commercial alliance with the prestigious BMW automotive brand.
The company also celebrated a transcendental technical achievement, successfully executing a neuronal network end to end for the new client. This milestone, which Adcock described as “pure magic”, evidences the exponential progress that AI is experiencing in the development of increasingly attractive humanoid robots, adaptable and versatile.
In August, the company presented its latest humanoid robot, Figure 02. Like its predecessor, Figure 01, the new development has natural language capacities that allow humans to give instructions to the robot, an achievement obtained from the association of the company with Openai. Figure has carried out pilot tests with the BMW car manufacturer to make training and collect data in its facilities.
Figure 02 is equipped with speakers and microphones to speak and listen to people at work. It also has vision and proximity sensors based on the presence of six cameras, along with an integrated visual language model, imagined computing and improved hands, with 16 degrees of freedom of movement and strength similar to human.
Figure ai drives humanoid robotics towards a new era, where robots not only execute tasks, but understand and interact with their environment like us.
