The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, through a telephone contact, He called Venezuelan communities to complete, in the next 30 days, the installation of 100 % of the community self -government rooms in the country.
The Executive He stressed the importance of the 7T methodology, used by communities to organize and visualize their priorities: “Also in the next 30 days we have to have organized and consolidated the Committees of Bases of Young, Women and Grandparents. We have work to at least the next 30 days. We have to continue moving forward, we cannot waste time,” he said.
During the call he also highlighted the fundamental role of the media and alternative communicators in strengthening the participatory democracy that was lived this Sunday in the II National Popular Consultation 2025.
“From their communities, these actors have become the spokespersons of truth, contributing to the development of an open, free, participatory and leading democratic model,” said the president.
The Head of State emphasized that, for the first time, the Nation Budget is at the service of direct democracy and communities, marking a milestone in public management.
“We are ending bureaucratism and bureaucrats, with inefficiency, corruption and indolence. The new state we are building has to be democratic, open, capable, where resources pay and serve to improve the lives of citizenship,” he said.
Massive participation
For its part, it emphasized the broad participation of the people in the second national popular consultation of 2025, when in 5,338 communal communes and circuits – which includes 47,214 communal councils throughout the territory – chooses through the vote the projects that will prioritize to improve the communities, and called it to exercise the vote.
He emphasized the importance of this model in which the people build a new state and through self -government, first, identifies the projects in collective, then decides in assemblies which are the priorities, then vote in a sovereign and direct way which they will enhance, and as a fourth step they star in the act of making it reality, which is the work that improves and embellishes their community.
He added that there is also a record of participation in Zulia, despite the rainfall that has been registered there.
Finally, he highlighted the implementation of the popular self -government system, which seeks to empower communities as direct rectors of their development and well -being.
