A 63-year-old Grand Bahama woman was abducted and violently attacked by a man she knew, according to police.
The 52-year-old male suspect was taken into custody and is assisting police with their investigations.
Police said the incident took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, when the victim arrived home.
As she tried to get out of her vehicle, she was allegedly ambushed by the suspect, a 52-year-old man, who ordered her back into the car and forced her to drive to a specific park.
Fearing for her life, the woman complied, but during the drive, the attacker turned violent, stabbing her repeatedly in the left arm. She escaped, and the vehicle crashed.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect. Emergency Medical Services provided immediate assistance and took the victim to the hospital for treatment.
