
PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI – The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) Campus Store successfully concluded its Toy Drive, held from November 19 to December 20, 2024.
Community members were encouraged to contribute to the cause by donating a toy and receiving 30% off any regular-priced item in the store.
Toys collected for WIN-BVI
According to HLSCC, in a press release on December 24. 2024, the campaign exceeded expectations, with generous contributions resulting in a significant number of toys collected for Women in Need – British Virgin Islands (WIN-BVI).
WIN-BVI is a dedicated organisation that supports women and children in the Virgin Islands by addressing immediate needs and empowering them for a brighter future.
On Saturday, December 21, the donated toys were distributed to children in the community during a joyful event held at Pancake Paradise at the Pier Park. The event was filled with smiles, laughter, and moments of pure joy as children received their gifts.

Campus Store Manager, Mrs Krystal Bradshaw-Smith shared heartfelt gratitude, stating, “The response to our Toy Drive has been truly inspiring. Seeing the joy these gifts brought to the children is a reminder of the power of community and compassion. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped us make a meaningful impact this holiday season.”
This initiative aligns with Goal 3 of HLSCC’s Strategic Goals: Community and Partnership, which aims to promote and strengthen the College’s brand and relationships by improving the quality of life for the communities it serves.
Through acts of kindness like this Toy Drive, the College continues to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
