Police arrested a 33-year-old man of Bodden Town on Friday in connection with a robbery at a business on Sound Way in George Town.
Reports indicate that more than one person was involved in the incident.
“It was reported that three men attended the location armed with machetes and robbed and assaulted a member of the public who was present at the time. The men made off in a silver-coloured vehicle with a quantity of cash,” police said in a press release on Monday.
The man was formally charged with robbery and appeared in court on Monday. He has been remanded in custody and will return to court on 21 March.
