
The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, informed that this Sunday, for the first time, the capital participated in the Carnival parade of the La Guaira state, along with ten floats to join the great festive deployment in the Paseo la Marina, Catia La Mar, with the company of the governor of the entity, José Alejandro Terán and the mayor of Vargas, José Manuel Suárez.
Caracas and La Guaira joined in culture, entertainment and joy, as tourist territories that complement themselves so that the people enjoy family, with security and happiness, he said on their Instagram account.
He also thanked Governor José Alejandro Terán for the invitation and the people of La Guaira for his receptivity and joy.
The floats, elaborated with great creativity by the popular power, stood out for their designs inspired by the flora and fauna, contributing an innovative touch to the event.
Meléndez highlighted the importance of this integration into the carnival. “For the first time we come to La Guaira and it is an advance. It is important because traditionally the Caracas go down early to the beach and in the afternoon they go to activities in the capital. Equal those who live in La Guaira go up to Caracas to enjoy the rumba, dances, samba and parades. Caracas is now a tourist destination, ”he said.
