

A group of retirees from the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG) demanded the release of all workers detained in the post -election context, as well as Immediate freedom for political prisoners of the Bolívar state.
“We are starting the year 2025 with great force to continue the fight. We continue to express our solidarity to our fighting brothers, political actors, union leaders and social fighters who are behind bars for the mere fact of raising their voice for the rights of the people, ”said Gustavo Barrios, secretary of Organization of the Union of the Union of the Union of the Union of the Union of the Union of Ferroatlántica de Venezuela (Ferroven).
And he added: «We demand from the Public Ministry Nicolás Maduro that present faith of our brother Ramón Bejarano, Américo de Grazia, Carlos Chancellor and all political prisoners. We do not know about the health of those brothers. We continue the fight. We follow the fight. ”
The regional newspaper Correo del Caroní stressed that within the framework of the political tension originated by the inauguration of January 10, at least six people were arrested in the Bolívar state, all identified with the political dissent or by making some kind of claim against the administration of Nicolás Maduro.
Among those arrested are Romel Zabala, CVG bauxilum worker; Juan Valor, former leader of CVG Sidor; and Jesús Ramírez, retired from CVG bauxilum.
Likewise, on December 17, Ramón Bejarano, a human rights defender and a faithful companion of the weekly protest of older adults was deprived.
Since July 29, 2024 more than 50 arrests are calculated in the post -election context only in the Bolívar state. According to pensioners, the situation has been lent to retaliate against activists and leaders of “great trajectory”, such as the former opponents of Piar and Siftes, and the human rights defender, said the newspaper.
