The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, shared a message full of nostalgia and love in his social networks, remembering on February 2, 1999, the day that former president Hugo Chávez assumed the presidency, marking the beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution “the clear course towards great transformations for the homeland.”
The president evoked that historical moment in the courtyard of the Academies, where the former president of Cuba, Fidel Castro, offered a memorable speech, followed by the words of Chavez, who outlined the path of revolutionary struggle that, according to the Executive, “today we continue to advance with the people in power and with the clear direction towards great transformations for the homeland.”
In his publication, the Head of State also shared photographs of that day, highlighting the love and complicity that unites him to his wife, Cilia Flores. “The looks are the same, love is the same! Our looks put towards the future, with that love that I feel and agigates by the homeland, the people and by Cilita,” Maduro said, describing those memories as wonderful.
The message reflects not only the historical importance of that day, but also the president’s commitment to the ideals of the Bolivarian Revolution and his personal connection with the love and loyalty values towards his family and the Venezuelan people.
